About the Viewer
The Viewer brings together measurements from LifeLidar fluorescence lidars and hyperspectral radiometers. Use it to inspect spectra, review data quality and follow observations at each deployment site.
mFL · fluorescence lidar
Fires a short 405 nm laser pulse into the water and records the light that comes back, split by wavelength.
CDOM, chlorophyll-a and suspended-particle indices
mHR · hyperspectral radiometer
Looks at the sky and the water surface and measures how much sunlight the water gives back at each wavelength, 400–880 nm.
Reflectance, optical water type and Forel-Ule colour
One record per site
Measurements are grouped by deployment site. Sensor replacements are marked on the charts so changes in instrumentation remain visible.
Quality control
Automatic checks flag measurements for review. On public fluorescence pages, rejected measurements can still show a spectrum, but their indices are withheld.
Access to the data
The homepage shows selected field observations. Event pages show measurements from a demonstration sensor. Team members and partners can sign in to inspect and export the data covered by their access token.
